Tire plug question

no, thats not it. I've got a bet going w/my boy. He think you can't tell if a tire has been plugged, especially if the plug is the size of a pencil eraser and on a solid chunk of the tread. Especially if you run through mud, dirt and water cause then the plug will blend in and look like the rest of the tire.

you will notice it till the tire is melted in a burning fire :chuckles:

i ran my last tires treadless (paradas) and i could see all 3 plugs i had on them... 2 on 1 tire and 1 on another... and now i've got another plug in my current tires lol.. low pros are prone to nails i swear

It's worst if the nail is on the groove (like the center channel) of the tire. Then it'd be really noticeable. I had to have one plugged in to my tire and it looks like a big black eraser sticking out of the groove of the tire. It's a lot less noticeable if it was on the tread itself...

Yeah, cause when it's in the groove, they can't cut it down as close. I didn't want to do this, but I dug my steelies out of storage cause one of em has a plug in it, I found it in like 10 seconds, very noticeable.

I've never had a tire plugged.. I've always had them patched on the INSIDE.

I don't trust tire plugs.. Its a bit too mcguyver for me. :dunno:
