It makes sense. less resistance.

I know several people have done it and reported that the engine idled smoother , etc.

Yes. Not many people have it and sounds pretty neat. I doubt it would really HURT anything.... dunno if it will help... but I don't think there will be any loss at least.

DIY its cheaper and does the same thing... dunno seems steep for some wire.

reason: It works.. we used it on a turboed 99si and it ran smoother. It sorta frees up the currents na mean. I wouldnt use it on a near stock motor though, use it if you have major add ons such as turbo.
