They are only classified as a veg because years ago ther was a tax on fruit and not on veg so tomatoes were CALLED a veg to save from being taxed.

Beans are part of the legume family which are a group of vegetables.

Rubber is not a vegetable because it comes from trees.

Motor oil is part of the meat group though, since it comes from petrol which comes from decayed animal and plant matter.
