I think Brandy is sending them an email right now saying we're ready to buy tickets, but the transportation system is totally F'd up and we can't get anything to work out scheduling-wise. At least they'll know we're trying. Maybe we can get one of her family out there to pick us up.

If he really wanted you to go he'd be paying. If he can't pay to have his own wedding party attend his wedding then there is probably something wrong with the plans.
That being said, if it were me, I'd go. A) I'm crazy B) I would never have a regret over it and C)it's just like me to go to aggressive measures for something stupid, go big or go home, damnit

if he is your homie i would try to go. I would try to fly into philly, it might be closer (and cheaper) then going into nyc/newark airports. if you can and rent a car to AC, its about 2 hour drive from there (i believe, might be 3). AC is a shit hole though. i feel your frustration with this. best of luck.

Forget that. I hate weddings enough as it is, let alone stupid crap like he's pulling.
My friends sister is having a destination wedding this year.. in Jamaica, oh, and on top of the usual expenses.. the guests and wedding party are expected to pay their own way. I think thats 100% wrong. I told Sarah if we ever get married its 1) not going to be huge, and 2) if we go somewhere, we're paying the way.
