because soooo many connections and isps can't afford to run any the kind of router setup for higher rates for everyone, plus as pointed out earilier you won't get that high anyways

i've seen them they are basically what you are talking about but they are still called routers ( :dunno: ), i used to work in the it department at my college, i've seen them (we provide all students that want it with a free dial-up connection)

 

just go to cable. I'm paying $6 more a month for cable than i was paying for AOHELL. damn worth it!

I know i was kinda ticked when they told me i HAD to pay the $61 installation fee, but when they showed up to hook up my connection, they ran me a fresh cable line into the house specifically for the computer. some cable companies don't do that, some do. It's nice cause i know there's nothing else on my connection
