so, i'm house-sitting for the next 2 weeks. my grandparents house (which is actually only across the street from my house). but they have a cable modem (i have dsl at home) and it is so much faster. i want cable now. i was downloading the animatrix dvd at over 200K/sec. :thumbup: and now han pops up instantly. i had no idea how slow my connection was until now.

 

where are you downloading animatrix dvd from?

here? just a cable modem. at&t i think. but i don't think there are many people around here with it. at home, it's dsl through sbc.

 

dsl is teh suck.... I work for a dsl company and do dsl tech support.... but I have/prefer cable

 

when I was in the Dorms on My old base

the speed was around 100kb-200kb, becuase everyone had cable access

now that I am off base, rates are now 400kb, I love it!
