Default Post-dating checks is wrong?

I made an agreement to post-date a check with a dealership for a new car based on the fact that they repair some parts. Of course the ****in dealership cashes the check even tho it was dated for next Tuesday (5/27). I called the bank telling them that I post-dated the check and they said that you are not suppose to post-date a check and they will cash all checks. But I remember when I worked for a grocery store they use to give me my check the day before it was dated and I couldn't cash it. WDF huh.

Pretty sure you're not supposed to post-date checks. Was the check returned? You should confront the dealership since the agreement was they wouldn't cash the check until the repairs were made.

No.

And I contacted the dealership and they said it was a misunderstanding, but they suck like all sales people I seem to deal with.:madfawk:
