What I would do is check with the dealership you're buying the car from and find out what credit bureau they go through when they check credit. That way, you can just go to that bureau's website and pay like 15 bucks to get a copy of your credit report and find out what your score is.

What's a good rating? 1000 perfect?

I never had a loan or a credit card. I have a bank account with a checking account and a debit card... do I even have a credit rating?

700 will get you a loan without much question.

Hate to say it, but you probably don't. My girlfriend had the same stuff as you, savings account, checking, debit, cell phone in her name. I pulled her report and there was nothing. Her score was 0. So, she went and got a credit card to build her score up.

700's will get you a loan and prime rate for interest, no question. 600's will get you a loan and the interest rate depends on other things. I've even heard of people in the mid 500's if the dealership is desparate enough and the finance manager can pull some strings.
