I don't think I'd want to live in a house, knowing that someone died in it. "I'm a torso" <Rod> Good luck house hunting though... Lotta good advice here, and your fam will be able to help.

the avg house in racine goes for 98k:thumbup: thats the only city in se wisconsin that has an avg price under 100k. And racine is alot better than most of these south milw county burbs [st.francis, crudahy, south milwaukee, etc]

nice looking house

have you considered buying a duplex at all? me and my bro talked my mom into buying one, once she gets her divorce settlement money. tenants tend to suck, but its a good investment for some people

Good point......that is an interestion option to look into....but keep in mind that financing for a duplex/income producing property is a different ballgame.

Where is your duplex brtescon?

With the right tenants, a duplex is a very good thing!

oh, my mom's buying a duplex. it would be somewhere on the southside of milw [not in the ghetto]. were still waiting for the final court hearing of her divorce:doh: its been over a year now and the only thing that they got settled was custody of my lil bruh. they havent even got to the financial part of the divorce so it may be a while still.

she's plannin on renting it out to either relatives or friends of the fam, or any people that we know that can keep up on the rent. the main reason for going the duplex route is because her retirement funds are kinda :ugh: right now. financing it shouldn't be hard, or we may not have to finance it at all because she's expecting to get 1xx,xxx from the divorce settlement:naughty:

Good luck with the duplex. I didn't mean to scare anyone regarding the financing of duplexes. I just ment that they fall into a different category because they are "income producing". I have several friends that own duplexes and so far things have all gone will for them.
