Thanks dude, that was kind of what I was looking more into. I thought I was going to have a friend come with me too, so the double room was what I was thinking, but he might not end up coming.
I do like the private room and how it has facilities for use, but even though 100 a night right in the city is a fair price, I wouldn't mind something a bit cheaper either.. I kinda wanted to go out and do a lot of things there too..

 

There are a few reasonably priced Hampton Inn's in NYC. I've seen them go from $120-200/night.
