There has been disagreement between mods and members ever since this forum was branched off OT and before then it was on OT. Even myself had spat with few mods who were overusing their powers, nothing new here.

Just because you enjoy illegal activity more than legal activity does not mean we all do. When did anyone directly mention an illegal torrent or ask where to find illegal torrents in the other thread? Unless it happened after my last post it never happened. You are the one taking it personally - it is pretty easy to see when you are getting worked up in your replies.

Also if the "terms of service" are the rules agreed to upon signing up, they are nothing more than agreeing not to post anything sexually explicit, hateful, or otherwise illegal. Anything outside of that realm was not in the agreement.

You are right - the overuse of powers is becoming more apparent everyday. I may even have to take your advice on going elsewhere. It is ruining what was once an active board. They'll soon be left with nothing.

I don't agree with all the rules and there are many arguments had behind closed doors from almost every moderator regarding rules, changes and for and against member bannings and points issuances. Everything we do in regards our members has to be answered for and if it is found to be in the wrong then it is reversed, but that is not often the case which means it was not seen as an abuse by the powers that be.
Again you are not even owed this much of an explanation but you have been given it as fair warning that if you step over the line it will bring the smackdown accordingly.

I reead that thread before I replied here and knowing the long standing rule regarding illegal torrent discussion I understood as did most everyone else in that thread what he meant by his comment. Webisodes and indy releases are fair game and always have been but you start talking about mainstream and the site itself falls under legal liability for promoting the activity.
Do I agree with it? Hell no, but I would rather not end up in court or have the site we all post at and enjoy close up. So when you went off on him about his comment maybe you should have approached it differently and asked if he was including those types of torrents instead of instantly launching into your accusatory rant...makes a huge difference in how people respond.
