Technically if you are under 16 you aren't a legal employee, and therefore you don't have the same employee rights.

KingPin, do you have a signed contract stipulating the terms of your employment? Are Federal and State Taxes being taken out of your previous paychecks? If you can get back to me on this, I can give you more specific advice, based on where you stand legally.

As others have mentioned above, in California, if you are an legal employee, you have specific protection under the labor laws of the state. But if your father is keeping you "off the books", things could be a lot more complicated....

In the meantime, go to the nearest shooting range and get a grip...lol. It's the best thing to do for your mental health.

I have the original workers manual around here somewhere. And yes federal and state taxes are being taken out and they suck. They're no personal checks but I do get them from the company. And he said today that I do have a check from the whole month of last month and he's going to mail it to me. We'll see about that. it doesn't mean I'm staying with the job still, who knows maybe next check will be on for two months. But I won't be their the week after next. Yes I'm legal to work in the country and he is keeping me logged in and I have all my time cards from work that have been signed.

And if I had the money to go to the shooting range I would believe me.
