Default Memory Training

Has anyone ever been to one of those memory training workshops? We had some guy come in and do a presentation on it. He was able to do some pretty good stuff, remembering a list of things in order, out of order and such. The cost of the training class was like $600, but our general manager said he would pay for half (so cost $325) w/ a payroll deduction.

Has anyone ever taken one of these things? Was it worth it? Do you still use the things they taught you after 6mo/year?

I was going to go, but then i decided to let a couple people in my office do it, and observe how it works for them after a couple months.
