Thanks Jay.

Here is a quick video of it running a routine I programmed in.

Here is a pic of the vac table drawn up.

I have some more modifications that I need to make to the machine to get it production ready, but it is working really well with the test runs that I have done so far....

This is 4x12 (normal size) run at 300ipm with a fairly well used 90 Deg V-Bit. Took 1:55 seconds to run the toolpath.

Obviously I still have some tweaking with the Mach3 settings to get everything perfect, but happy for a first run nonetheless.

I have not surfaced the table yet, once the dust shoe gets here I will do that and get the vacuum plenum cut.

Thanks man.

It is MDF. I could run the machine much faster with hardwood since it would not want to tear out so much. I just didn't have any sitting around to test with.

Today the dust shoe should be delivered, so that will let me surface the table and cut the vacuum plenum out for the vacuum table. If I did it without out that, there would be about a 5" layer of dust everywhere in the garage.

I was able to cut the first go around of the vac table tonight. I wanted to see where all of the gridding would be so I could add some fasteners to attach the plenum to the base MDF board.

Really happy with how the machine is performing, you can tell that I am not pushing it even close to its limit. I only did a 5x8 grid for right now because that is all I really need at this time till I get the rest of the linear rail. Also seems that my mods last night fixed the issue with the gantry being a little un-level. Much happier now.

The machine has been finished for a while now, so I figured that I would post up some of the projects I have been doing with it.

An F200 Guitar Body that I machined for a local luthier

This is a painting stencil that was made to mark bike paths in a local city

Subaru symbol made for a friend, he painted it and hung it in his garage.

Here is an inlay that I did as a proof of concept. It was my first attempt on the CNC, and there is some tweaking to do, but overall, I am very happy with the result.

More projects to come!!

Here are some projects that I completed for Christmas. Not all were done on the CNC, but some were.

Here are some pics.

A project I will never build again unless someone just throws massive amounts of money at me.

Wife's dining room table with one coat of finish
