yea. that whole "the engine blew" story sounds like just that, a story. he owes you money for working for him, no? i'd go show up at his door with a bill for you work.

oh yea, i'm kinda biased because my dad is a no-goodah

its illegal for him to withhold earnings for something like that. He has to prove, in a court of law, that you knew something was wrong with the motor that would lead to its demise, and sold it to him without warning of it.

That's the thing he just let me use the car whenever I wanted and then my uncle needed and so I signed a paper and it said, I am no longer responsible for this car and directed it towards my dad or my uncle and then signed it.

I think the whole engine thing is bs. They owe me like 1300-1400 bucks that's a months worth of work. I'm not going to the door with a bill because he'll probably just deny it. I'll just take his ass to small claims court or something. And I have proof of all the times I've been working so I'm in the clear for that.

Generally, motors don't just "blow" unless you're driving them stupid hard or there is something catastrophically wrong with it...

It might be something simple... or he's just giving you a bunch of shit 'cause he doesn't like you...

:dunno:
I agree with you on that. They just don't blow, I told him to put motor oil in it before he drives it and he said he did, I had just got a tune up on it a month ago. And I don't drive that thing hard because it's slow anyways. I think he's just giving me a bunch of shit and if he is he can kiss my ass.

point is, just bare with it. Things are gonna suck of course, but they always work out for the better

My condolences, KingPin. I think legal action is the only reasonable solution too... do you have a signed work contract that stipulates when you are to be compensated for your time?

BTW, I've been working on a few ideas relating to a large-scale cruise this summer... A HAN Mille Miglia of sorts. I'll PM you in the next few days.

Dave
