Default NEED HELP QUICK.... please read

so the body shop calls me today and tells me that they're gonna total the car, so i need to come down and pick up the plates, county sticker, and anything i want from inside the car. the only thing i left inside the car was my cd player. im leaving in about 45-60 mins to go try and take it out but i have no clue, i need help.

the car is a 97 hx, so its a single DIN, and the cd player is a pioneer deh-p4000 (probably like 2-3 years old). any help is good.

thanks in advance.

If the car's totaled, just rip it out with a screwdriver. Careful not to hurt the deck though. Who cares about the car.

if its an aftermarket deck, bring some screw drivers and get the wrecking. the whole deck should come out easily after you pry the cage from the panels.

can you take your strut nuts off? i want them h:

Pop the plastic piece off the outside of it. It's just snapped on there. Then try to get ahold of the little metal inserts that you put on both sides to depress the tabs and pull it out. That's all there is to it. The cage should be easy after that.

take off every screw you can find on the center console until you can reach the underneath parts of the deck. its probably attached to something by two screws on the side and/or one on the back or bottom. unplug the power cord and wire harness and pull out the deck.

Cut the dash and take it apart once you get it away from the dash. Since it totalled anyways its not like its gonna matter.

Hacksaw, wire clippers and a screwdriver should be all you need.
