What is so special about the theory of evolution that we should not teach it despite the fact that we will continue teaching every other scientific theory?

And I'm not saying let teach Creation soley because that would cause more problems. If you're going to teach one, you better teach both. If not, then nothing at all.
its ok tho. i understand that this will never end. Theres a counter point to everything. People can beleive what they wanna believe.
edit: just generally speaking. not directed towards anyone in particular. you guys post to quick.

Actually it is a Scentific theory and has more Scientific evidence backing it then evolution.. but all the Anti-religion folks think it is too much religion for school as i be a Christian feel evolution with all its lil holes should not be taught in school.... Bottom line is both these Theories are just that until they are proven. So if u are going to teach one theory u should teach them both but make it very clear that they are just that theories.

AS I said before, it contradicts with what's taught in the Bible, and for those students that do believe in the Bible & God ... and for those students that lesiurley believe in God that's very dangerous because even that could cause them to drift away since they start doubting what they originally believed. Should state have power to do that? No.

Ok, since I'm one of the few people here who can actually back up their statements w/fact (some can, yes, beautiful thing about most atheists), I've got a couple things to say
The earth being 10,000 years old? eh, no. there's a beautiful thing called carbon dating, and guess what! IT WORKS!
Quoting the Bible to prove a point? How's this: if we take a look at the Gospels in the Bible, they often contradict each other (where jesus was born, what he did, hmm.. thats not good. if i must i will pull those up for you if you don't believe it.) And if you take a look at the other gospels that didn't make it into the bible, you'd be suprised to notice that jesus never says he's the son of god. Thats because his "divinity" was decided after he died. Curious if I'm right? DO an internet search on Paul of Tarsus, Paulinians, Gnosticism, and the meeting at Nicea. And don't even get me started in the mistranslations and changes...
And as for evolution being fact? check out this website, which presents the issue in a non-sided manner:
http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/evolution-fact.html
the big bang, read the book i suggested earlier. that i don't have a position on.
I'm sorry to rant, but I really get pissed off when people just pull sh*t out of their ass and don't have the facts to back it up. I think if you want to make a point, gimme proof (and don't give me sh*t on you can't prove faith, because there are other things you can prove)
