Default Computer Problems... need suggestions on whats problem

Athlon XP1800+, 256MB PC2100, MSI K7T266 Pro2, 32MB NVidia TNT2-M64, 300 watt PS.

Ok, my aunts computer is restarting when playing any kind of game, from very simple toddler games all the way on up... the game will play for maybe a few mins, then restart. She originally had XP pro installed, then thinking maybe it was having problems with XP, id try Win98SE.... so i reformatted the computer, and installed Win98SE. Same restart problems. She also says she experienced her MSN explorer software completely uninstall on its own. There is also a program called "Pampered Partner" that she uses for her work.... Now, every time she runs the program, it treats her as though she just installed it, and continually asks for her info(profile) etc... and wont let her get through, although all the info is there when she re fills it out....... People tole me to run BurnIN test to see if the computer restarts running thise heavy testing program.....to see if it would over heat. It was the Demo version, which ran 14 mins, never restarted. I was also told to run Windows Media Player(9) and play the visualization full screen, to see if it would restart... ran fine. What could possibly be the problem? The computer will really run forever until i play a game...... Its hard to trouble shoot w/o knowing what possibly could be malfunctioning. If anyone can help, i am also easy to catch on AIM at "uhkordguy".

thanks

Did you build it for her or did she buy it? Hope it's still under warranty.

try resetting the bios on the motherboard before reformatting it.
