Kelley, the Chicagoan, said two women had been pulled over in Texas for speeding in a Ferrari 575 Maranello. When state troopers approached the car, they found the women were topless.

Did you guys read the article?

I'm talking about this part:
"The driver apparently blew the car's oil gasket, and the only replacement part he could find was at a nearby dealer. But the only part the dealer had was in a new car. So, the man purchased the car and took only the gasket."

I know the original car was shipped over, but the article says he needed a replacement gasket so he bought a new car with it and took the gasket.

The article makes it sound like the guy bought another Koenigsegg for $400K and only took the gasket. I doubt it.

It was probably an interchangeable gasket...aka...used in several models of cars. You can probably take the carb off a 69 Camaro and mount it on a 68 Chevelle.

Who knows :dunno: maybe, there are people that are very wealthy and also will do just about anything to win...like spending $400k on a gasket.

But I see what you're saying, there probably wasn't one in a dealer 'just around the corner'

Can anyone please post a pic of this Swedish car you're talking about? I'm not familiar with it.

Yeah I have no doubt. Probably off of a MB. I believe they used a MB engine to start with (not 100% sure).

but my point still stands the writer was trying to make it sound like he guy bought another Koenigsegg car that is not even sold in the US. (yet)
