Are you sure about mild? I was taking doxycycline over there with no adverse side-effects other than the occasional diarrhea and nausea if I didn't take with/shortly after a meal.

Actually I'm not sure. I thought that broad spectrum antibiotics weren't really all that heavy duty. I also assumed if transplant patients get it for three years as a prophylaxis against pneumonia and people with bad acne get it for a couple months it can't be that bad, ya know? I think certain people react differently to medicines, because I took it for 6 months with no problem. How much are you taking and at what frequency? It seems like insomnia is a common side effect though. Make sure you drink more than a sip of water when you take it since its a sulfa based drug. At least 8 ounces.
