Honda Nighthawk 250. :exnbp:

For real though, I think beginners (like myself ) should go used. There are actually a good number of bikes out there that are better suited to new riders than the new r6/600rr/gixxer race bikes. Get something easy to ride with a more comfortable, upright position. This will also be good for you since you plan on commuting.

IMO, as long as you're riding, it doesn't really matter how fancy the bike you've got is. Also, I guarantee that even riding the little 150cc or whatever bikes in the MSF class will be a blast especially if it's you're first time on a motorcycle.

Good luck and keep the rubber side down and all that stuff...

I found a site with some interesting reading. Here ya go: http://www.beginnerbikes.com/

To reinforce civic991's statement about "fallen squids", I've seen some pretty eye-opening pics. Don't forget the importance of good gear.

I just wanna look like a smooth pimp on a motorbike :grinpimp:

Get a matched helmet, and maybe some leathers. I know it turns some womens on :naughty: maybe it'll work on the other chicks. I don't care if they're shallow either.

Sleek and fast enough to beat at least my Civic on the street. :lmao: in the end, all I want is faster than a Civic.

 Don't worry dood, I think that even some of the lowliest bikes are faster than a civic.

And you're right about the girl thing. Girls (including some you barely know) will ask you for rides. h:

Yeah, many new riders start on 250's...and even some experienced riders have them as another ride.

Here goes one of their discussion boards: http://ninja250.kingston.net/board/

far... besides. I'd have to get a newer car before I'd consider saving for a bike. Unfortunate, but I'm young, and broke. Maybe I should lower my budget on a car again That'd get me more stuff faster. I could pay off a car after a year, and have myself a bike by the time the car's paid off. Of save for a down payment on a used car, finance the rest, sell my civic, buy a bike, and be set Oh, the hopes and dreams of the Pony are wide and varied.
