Hit up the Capital, Old Sacramento, and check out the River parks. That's what I did when I was there.

weather is freaking perfect today! i'm gonna head to SF for the Giant's game in like 3 hours though h:. The drive to SF will take you between 1.5-2 hrs not that bad.

happy hour locations - cowtowneats.com. good place to grub is check yelp and look for places downtown sacramento, or if you tell me what you want to eat i can recommend some places. my go-to place is burgers and brews on R and 15.

old sacramento, various malls, go karts, golf courses, theres a Kings pre-season game tonight you can find cheap tickets for. folsom has a thursday night market if you wanna drive out like 25 mins. plenty of playoff baseball on today so you can find a bar and watch the games.

Thanks. I was thinking of just hitting up pubs for dinner since im rolling by myself and probably fast food joints that we dont have in nyc like in-n-out, etc. Any places you can recommend downtown or maybe a few minutes drive? How are the mexican joints out there?

Cornerstone for Breakfast, 1930 K St

Rubicon for microbrewed goodness, decent bar food too, know the brewmaster, has a an old POS BMW sedan, met him doing a vintage car rally.

El Novillero is best mexican food in town

In Old Sacramento, train museum is cool, if you are into that sort of stuff, Fanny Anne's is a touristy bar down there, The Firehouse is a nice place for lunch down there, Laughs Unlimited, comedy bar in Old Sac. Towe Car Museum near Old Sac, Front St near L or Capitol, something like that, a few blocks south of Old Sac.

State Capitol is an impressive building, near 10th and Capitol, Sutter's Fort is an 1850's era structure 26th and Capitol that is a State Park.

I am partial to Carl's Jr for fast food.

There is a farmer's market on Saturday mornings under the freeway at X St that is pretty kickass. On the way from SF to Sacto on I-80 there is a killer fruit market at Dixon, on right side of I-80.

ohhh just saw you said saturday to thursday. where are you staying at, that way i can recommend places by you. but as for fast food joints in-n-out, not sure if you have sonics where you live. habit burger, carls jr (since most are hardees), jimboys. ohhh you need to go to a adalbertos to get a california burrito and carne asada fries. besides SD, sacramento is the next best spot for those items.

if you are going to sf i say go on saturday, weather is supposed to be really nice this weekend in sacramento and the bay.

the farmers market tobra is talking about is actually on sunday. i live like 2 blocks from it, but its dope.

for barbs/pubs to hang out downtown i would say shady ladys saloon, r15, de vires pub, streets of london are all good choices. each have a different vibe though.

shoot me a PM and let me know where you are staying and want to see/go then i can recommend some spots. i'll be helping my cousin paint her house fri-sat and out of town mon-weds or else i would try and meet you up somewhere.

and http://www.yelp.com/sacramento is your friend
