In Old Sacramento, train museum is cool, if you are into that sort of stuff, Fanny Anne's is a touristy bar down there, The Firehouse is a nice place for lunch down there, Laughs Unlimited, comedy bar in Old Sac. Towe Car Museum near Old Sac, Front St near L or Capitol, something like that, a few blocks south of Old Sac.
State Capitol is an impressive building, near 10th and Capitol, Sutter's Fort is an 1850's era structure 26th and Capitol that is a State Park.

There is a farmer's market on Saturday mornings under the freeway at X St that is pretty kickass. On the way from SF to Sacto on I-80 there is a killer fruit market at Dixon, on right side of I-80.
