Default Home Remodel Krew: Kitchen

Next project is the kitchen. I'll start with the listing photo from when we bought our house.

this is when we first moved in:

and this is shortly after the flood of 2009:

it's pretty much in the same condition as the last picture. it's functional, there's just not a nice floor.

first thing is the floor. we had laminate wood in before, and my wife doesn't want to go back to that so we'll probably do tile. we're thinking about a old fashioned white and black look, but since we just did the bathroom like that, we might not be able to.

took us 2 and half hours to take all the cabinets out. there were 9. we're having 21 put in. i don't know what we're gonna do with all the new storage.

the new cabinets are white, and we'll have a beige/grey granite countertop.

Nice. Are you keeping the appliances or upgrading those as well?

i got a new fridge and dishwasher. my wife's coworker gave us a "new" stove/oven and microwave/hood. we had an electric stove before, and the new one is gas. all the appliances are still going to be white.

tile guy is coming tomorrow to lay down the floor.

I just finished the bathroom and moving on to the kitchen as soon as my bank account recovers. Looks like a sweet project
