Wrong. DVDXCOPY does not require the decrypter. You just need to run the "configure DVDXCOPY" and after that, it will recognize your DVD drive.

i've used the how-to sections on www.dvdrhelp.com and have yet to have a problem burning dvd's or having them not work in any DVD player. specifically http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/usergu...41024.php#dvd5
thanx for the link. im trying this dvddcrtipter as we speak. the software interface seems superior to dvdxcopy:thumbup:
i've been meaning to go thru the dvdrhelp.com how-to sections for a while. i gotta look into converting dvd to avi, dvd to vcd and avi to vcd. looks like i got something to do for today

its kinda slow, but maybe its just me. i want to get 1 dvd burned properly before i go to bed. i'm thinking of trashing my cd-rom drive and getting a higher speed dvd rom drive, like 6x or whatever is fastest. my dvdrw drive reads sloooooooowww
