honda actually does have turbo vehicles in japan

honda doesn't turbocharge its mainstream vehicles for two main reasons: environmental concerns and fuel economy.

one of the reasons why VTEC was created was to maximize N/A efficiency.

you youngbucks don't remember, but they even ran an ad for the '93 Prelude VTEC that read "Turbocharger, Schmurbocharger" - explaining VTEC's benefits
