Comcast. I've actually had pretty good experiences with their install guys, customer service, billing, and internet/tv reliability. Most of the time when I have an internet problem I track it down to my equipment having problems. Comcast is far superior to the only other broadband provider around here, Qwest DSL. Unfortunately, a lot of my friends work for Qwest, but I hate Qwest with a passion. I wish there was a 3rd/4th/5th provider though so that there would be more options/competition. You listening Verizon FIOS?

My biggest complaint about Comcast is that I'm paying basically the same price (~$50/month) for the same speed (6mbps) of internet service as I was when I first got broadband... back in 2001. Seems like at some point in the intervening 9 years either the price should have dropped or the speed should have gone up. :eh: What happened to technological progress?

i honestly compared direct, dish and time warner, not verizon, because fios tv ain't here yet, because i have the new house.

the price seemed to be right around the same, i like time warner too because it's all in one bill, not a huge deal, but ya know...

also time warner has a 24 hour local news station that isn't on direct or dish and a local sports station that plays every syracuse game, which i would hate to not have, so that sold me.

I don't know about your area, but my Comcast internet is waaaaaaaaay faster than 6Mbps.

If that was to me, I've never upgraded my internet service to anything higher than the base level.

Verizon.

Customer service isn't the best, but the service and price is good.

AT&T Uverse for Cable & Internet and have been happy with my service. We have the U300 package with HD Channels (which includes all basic channels and movies), 3 boxes (DVR's) and 18mb Internet for $140
