if you are going to run cyanogen mod stick with 6.0.1, the 6.0.2 version has an issue with the email and an error keeps popping up. I've been running 6.0.1 for a few months and its been running great.
my incredible is rooted and I'm running the cyanogen mod. its really easy to flash a new rom. just download the rom manager, go in and download new roms and bam there you go. they always ask you if you want to backup and wipe, you always backup and wipe. if there is an issue you reboot into recovery and backup to where you last left off and you are all good.

it takes maybe 15 minutes to wipe, and flash to a new rom. its really not that bad.
bump, i just got the evo4g finally and been playing with it all day. was at a party and sat with everyone around me just playing around with it.
i'm about to root it, and regarding the security measures and passwords being in plain text... should i really be worried? i hope and doubt anyone would be trying to hack into my phone, but would like it to be secure. and for the launcherpro app, it seems to do everything htc sense does, so do i really need it?
feels good to join the smartphone crew.

I'm not really worried about it.
And I just use the default launcher.
But, check out Llama. Its like Locale, but free. Its been funky with changing profiles every now and again, but getting better, and its probably because my phone is a piece of shit.
Congrats on joining the best smartphone crew.
