Hunting, for some people is fun. It's good exersize. Gets some fresh air. Is legal (in certian area's). Helps control the animal population. And if you actually kill something, free dinner!!

though the animal control issue is a valid one, i think id rather be shot then starve to death...and thats what many deer do during the winter, starve to death.
