E3 2010 - Xbox 360 Slim
Older 360's are ovens. Install games or not, they're just made of bad hardware.
- 90nm GPU
- 90nm CPU
- motherboard mounted on uneven standoffs
- undersized GPU heatsink covered by the DVD rom
- undersized CPU heatsink
- 0 ventilation
I'm curious to see how the guts are configured, but I'm enjoying my 65nm GPU / 65nm CPU Jasper, Jtag, Resident Evil console.

Installing games doesn't hurt. The main reason to do this is to stop wear on the fragile DVD rom. Older DVD roms also caused nasty circular scratches on the disc.

My apologies. I thought the word was just a translation of the word "connect" or something of the sort. Didn't know it was what they decided to name project Natal. I'm a bit out of the loop and all, aiding brothers in the AOR from our side of the pond isn't always 9-5.

At Target starting tomorrow, current 360 consoles drop $50. Also, when you buy an Arcade machine, you get a $50 giftcard.
So, $149 for a 360 Arcade w. $50 gift card. That's a stellar deal ... but, no HDD, no wireless N. If you already have these items, the current Arcade console is rock solid. Most stable version of the 360 made.
