College Football Expansion Thread
They can't win it all, technically. Unless somehow they're by far the best team in the regular season and they are #1 in the AP poll...and share the title of National Champion with the BCS champ.

Hey Bert, I don't like seeing it when young kids are punished for institutional problems, but I think the NCAA was harsh for a couple of reasons.
1. They didn't really conceal a lot of their dealings as well as they should have if they were going to break the rules that much. I think the NCAA saw that as arrogance and a "You won't touch us" mentality, especially from your AD.
2. Even in the midst of the NCAA investigation, they hired Kiffin, which they are investigating for violations back at Tennessee and him also being on the staff of USC when all of the allegations started.
3. It bled into more than one program, which is why they slapped on the loss of institutional control, which made things worse still.

Won't go into the whole reggie bush thing cause it's to close to home.
Let record reflex He knew nothing of this til it was too late.
It was his step dad and my homie that orchestrated all this.
The mountain west should be getting in on all of this

USC athletic director Mike Garrett, speaking at a previously scheduled USC Coaches' Tour at the Airport Marriott in Burlingame, Calif., had this to say Thursday to boosters: "As I read the decision by the NCAA, all I could get out of all of this was ... I read between the lines, and there was nothing but a lot of envy, and they wish they all were Trojans
rightttttttttt
“Regardless of what happens in that appeal, we know this: SC is more powerful than anything else,” Kiffin said. “The university, the football program, the basketball program -- no matter what they try to do to us, it won’t matter.”
Consider USC under a nanoscope for the next 10 years.
you mean the basketball team that NEVER makes it to the final four? hahahaha
this will not end well for them, hell it already hasnt
kiffin was saying also that if any seniors want to leave the best football program in the nation then thats fine by him. i mean you cant really expect seniors to want to stay at a school that wont even see the post season their final year

From the Omaha.com live blog at the meeting:
Brian Norton, OWHsports:
It's official, from Lee Barfknecht:
Nebraska has officially accepted an invitation to join the Big Ten Conference, The World-Herald learned early Friday afternoon.
Two sources from conference offices said that Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany contacted BIg 12 Commissioner Dan Beebe on Friday morning to inform Beebe that Delany had officially invited Nebraska to join.
A source with direct knowledge of the situation said Nebraska accepted.
