i wasn't saying it as if it was a failure, they simply didn't need it in thier enviroment. what i am saying is that i most parts of the world it would be more benificial to have melanin. also we have to realize that human evolution is different from other species. other species are more likely to be affected by such changes, and therefore adapt. with society the way it is now, you won't see large changes like this for a long time.

however there are three major races...Black, White, and Asian. All other races derive from those three *this is actually a proven fact...to lazy to find a source* so basically 2 billion years from now, all of those three would still survive regardless of living conditions. People unlike animals are seperated by these three "versions" of humans (vs dogs that all came from one same being)

 

Actually humans are more likely to be affected by ridiculous notions. Because we are sentient there can be genetic drift as a result of societal preferences. For example, in its current state America may drift towards skinny big boobed women.

Obviously this is not a survival of the fittest scenario or this anorexic whores would have died out a long time ago.
