do you say "bless you"
Do you guys say "bless you" when other people sneeze? I dont. I dont really know that it means to say it...so i dont. When i sneeze, people around me would say "bless you"...I would just be polite and reply with "thank you."
So at the office, I just sneezed. Someone said "bless you" so I replied with "thank you." A few moments later...that person sneezed...to which I replied with....nothing I felt a little bad.

I do. With closer friends and family I say God bless or God bless you. Word on the street is when you sneeze your heart momentarily stops. So as your heart regains it's rhythm and continues to supply life a simple blessing will chase away evil spirits.

The origin is from the old days, when sneezing could easily mean you had a sickness that could kill you.
People said "God bless you" because they hoped that the Lord would bless them with mercy and let them live. I think this came about around the time of the plagues in Europe if I remember correctly.
