Default No computer

x infinity... going throught withdrawl.

I dismantled my old pc and set up my new one. Was up till 3AM Friday night doing hardware. Up till 4 AM Saturday doing software.

And then Win 2k decided to crash on me. Disassemble, check, make sure all hardware is fine. So now I have to wait until I get my Win 2k.

Get XP. 20x more stable. However, they have a thing on the CD where you can install only like 2 or 3 times. Then it thinks that you're trying to pirate the stuff.

Um XP sucks... I like being in control and XP doesn't let me do that most of the time.

Everything... hardware, software. XP automatically installs hardware without asking. That pisses me off to no end, besides its got a nasty right click problem where right click don't work most of the time.

hmmm...good point. But answer me this:

Would you rather your computer crash every week just to have it reinstalled and crash the next week and have nothing auto. installed for you?

or

Would you rather your computer be completely stable and crash maybe only every other month or less, but have everything automatically install everything for you?

ok......XP is simply an upgrade version of win2k win2k is NT version 5.0 amd XP is version 5.1....its not 20x more stable but there are just a few more new things including the GUI and things are placed in different places. i have both running XP and 2000 and 2000 server and they are yet to crash

as for plug and play part of it...its good to a certain extent for example i had a video card that and my XP installed its own driver...well that driver didn't have the features that the manufacturer's driver had......for someone who don't know about computers XP's PnP is very good, but if u wonna do shit manually then it becomes a pain.
