wireless networking help!!

If you are using the wireless setup primarily for the DSL connection, there will be no difference that you will notice between 11b and 11a, as the DSL bandwidth will be limited way before you each reach the limitations of the wireless hardware. That being said, seeing as 802.11b is a more standard setup and typically cheaper, I would vote in favour of it. Each to their own though.

got with b you don't need more speed than that if you're just sharing the dsl line

imma go .11b because 1 we have no cordless phone cause we all have cells and a few regular phones.. and 2 it has better range and can get through 2 levels down to my room.. of course i will hookup the linksys booster to it too :thumbup: thx all.. i guess that open port in my laptop is for pcmcia.. i dunno i thought it was diff.. maybe ill take a pic and post it..
