Talking down to newbs...hmm. How long have you been here? That's right, not very long. You have no clue as to what goes on here except for this thread you decided to read.
That's exactly my point when I was saying I've been doing the 'net for a long-ass time. This BB is no different than any other. And I've read plenty of threads.
And so why don't you just click that little button at the top
and don't bother coming back here.
Reading comprehension is a good thing. As I said, #1 I appreciate all cars. I'm interested in Hondas too. Heck, I was the sole reason one of my best buddies just bought a 2003 Accord the other day. You know where I some of my info when I was doing comparative shopping, that's right... this forum. And then there's also the fact that my fiance has a 99 Accord and she doesn't have much of a budget for maintaining it, so she counts on me to keep it running like it should. Yet another reason I'm here.
Go cry me a river, build a bridge over it, then crawl under it, troll.
Listen to who started talking $hit first and listen to who is talking back. Listen to who is resorting to 3rd grade insults. Now who's the troll again?

I wasn't the one that started talking $hit.
I was the one that had the initial $hit-talking directed towards me (as well as many other "newbs"). And I realize now that supposedly the discussion wasn't meant to be generalized towards all "newbs"... but that's just like walking into the middle of the ghetto, getting robbed by a black guy and then yelling "black people suck" for the next 30 minutes. Even if you in your own mind and possibly in the mind of the people that were with you at that moment might know you are making a generalized statement that's actually directed towards the guy that just robbed you and anyone else like him... you still should start off by saying "guys who rob people suck" rather than make a blanket statement that stereotypes anyone like him.
It's the same line of thought. Think before you speak.
Believe me, I'm not deeply offended or in tears about this. I'm just trying to give several of you some objective PERSPECTIVE as to how many of the non-offending "noobs" might feel when they read this thread.
And maybe not ALL of you, but MANY of you were playing along on that "people who have been here longer and/or post more are better" kick. It's very convenient for you to say that wasn't your intentions, and again, it may not been the intetions of several of you.. but I think if you read back over the comments in this thread it becomes pretty darned obvious if English is your first language what many people were alluding to in not so many words.
Anyhow... this is becoming a circular arguement. I digress. My point is made. If you don't agree with it or can't see where I'm coming from, then you aren't ever going to.
I'm done with this thread and done with "the basement", I'll try to keep to the technical discussions since apparently that's the only place where objectivity is welcomed on this board.

*sigh*
whatever kid.
i will say this though, every noob (f*ck the post count and date registered) who by definition is NEW here, just doesnt get the "environment" in The Basement at first. watch what we say about non-offending noobs?! blanket statement about noobs?! HA! f*ck noobs. its just the way it is on msg boards. a noob is a noob. you get picked on once in awhile just because of that. so what. thats part of the internet msg boards. im not saying its right or wrong. im saying how it is. if youre a noob and felt like you were offended because you feel you shouldnt have been part of this noob bash thread, then you got bigger issues to take care of. this is the internet man. go massage your wife's feet or something and relax. f*ckin noobs these days. sheesh
