That's utter bullshit! That group had no right being there with what they are protesting. I see the funeral as a private affair for family and friends.

the people in that church are so messed up, it's not even funny. i don't even want to mention their name. and as a brother to a Marine that has served in iraq twice, the thought of them protesting a funeral like that just sickens me.

My point is that maybe the judge who heard the appeal saw 5mil as excessive and dismissed on that reason alone...I mean really that is excessive by any means. $20k wouldn't have been worth it, but you go for say half a mil to a mil and you would probably stand a good chance of taking the cake. This would lead to others who have been protested to filing cases...they are sitting watching this and if he wins in the end you know 20 more cases will be filed in short order by parents.

This is why you take a little because a fracture in the dam still can cause the dam to collapse.
Right, but if that was the appeal judges only issue was the amount why didnt he just say 5 mil is too much and reduce the award?

i know what you're getting at and to an extent i agree but at the same time i cant fault this guy for going after this group so hard and so financially

Agreed, and I am the type that if I am going after someone I want it in one clean shot and over. so I would probably have done the same as he did.

Bill O'Reilly just said he is going to pay the court costs awarded Westboro.

That's mighty nice of him but I would rather he pay for lawyers for the father to argue this further.

Werd, and it makes me sick to think someone could hold a sign that says "thank God for dead soldiers." Fucking terrible.
