My point is that maybe the judge who heard the appeal saw 5mil as excessive and dismissed on that reason alone...I mean really that is excessive by any means. $20k wouldn't have been worth it, but you go for say half a mil to a mil and you would probably stand a good chance of taking the cake. This would lead to others who have been protested to filing cases...they are sitting watching this and if he wins in the end you know 20 more cases will be filed in short order by parents.

This is why you take a little because a fracture in the dam still can cause the dam to collapse.
Right, but if that was the appeal judges only issue was the amount why didnt he just say 5 mil is too much and reduce the award?

i know what you're getting at and to an extent i agree but at the same time i cant fault this guy for going after this group so hard and so financially
