evo 8. The AWD was rated the best in sport compact car. and the sti is 280.

STI isnt even out yet. And the USDM version is 300hp with nothing missing. USDM EVO8 on the other hand isn't full JDM spec.

 

I prefer Subaru over Mitsu.

I've seen more Mitu's in the shop than on the road. That and I know lots of Subaru's that have good reliability.... honda > toyota > subaru

 

Well if I had to choose one or the other I would take the STi because Mitsi has a horrible reliability rating and the Lancer is fawking oooglay as sin.

But if I didn't have to choose one o those then neither would even be on my list.

The 8 is too expensive/ugly looking in my opinion

 

I think it's unfair to judge EVO from past Mitsu history. EVO is made in japan and has proven record oversea. I'm not aware of any other Mitsu made oversea. All domestic made ones I've experienced with has a lot of quality issues.
