Thank you, Venom injectors. One of the injectors was bad, and my car made it about 200 feet before cylinder 3 ring went up in smoke. FML.

after a wash down though, it looks like the rings weren't burnt, but so full of carbon that it was losing compression, blasted it out and things are good now...that's one tough motor there, mitsubishi. My hat's off to you.
