This weekend, the Evo goes green
I put in my Walbro 255 last night, and some Venom injectors are on the way. I've made maps for my AP with proper injector scaling for E85/93oct/91oct, but i still need to run it and look at the fuel trims and maybe adjust the latency. Or, with any luck, the injectors will come with latencies :x:
I didn't have too much of an issues setting up my latencies once I got the scalings and cruising fuel trims set. I wish someone I knew had a X so I could play around with the tune and learn a little bit.
Do you use the same screen name on EvoM? Or are you on a different forum?

do you have an evo now?
theres an easy math equation for scaling your injectors:
new size * original scale value/injector size
for latency:
its the sum of your STFT and LTFT balancing to zero. If positive number ad latency, if neg, reduce

I bought my Evo new back in 2005 lol.
From what I observed on my Evo, assuming stock fuel pressure, take the injector size and reduce it 20% for pump, and another 20% for e85.
So my 1200's are scaled to around 960 on pump and 770 on e85. Keep in mind these are low impedence injectors, so I'm not sure how that would change things.
I couldn't get my STFT's to stay anywhere steady. Between the fairly large cams and injectors, the STFT's jumped around a lot. I just set my latencies up based on LTFT's. It idles pretty good now, and very rarely stumbles cruising. I can't expect it to be perfect though with the amount of mods I have though.

How many gas stations have e85 now? I've never bothered looking.

I let it idle for 16 mins. The Evo8s take 4mins for the ECU to cycle, and you're supposed to let it cycle 4 times. So I just let it idle then adjusted it to get the LTFTs within plus/minus 5%. I haven't logged LTFTs in a while, but I think I got it down to +1/-1 for cruise/idle.

I just emailed the injector company to get the latencies, hope they respond
I've never used access port, so I can't say for sure. Can you post a screen shot? The only latencies I touched were the 14v and 11v, but that was after I set the scalings.
Good luck with it. If you need any help, I'll do my best lol.

nevermind, that's the high/low range apparently. I took a datalog today (stock injectors), and i'll put in my new ones tomorrow, run it with the latency i guessed, and pull another datalog to see what it looks like. My car almost never hits anything but 14.4v
