CP farming right now in Chapter 9. h:

 

[SPOILER="little spoiler"]I was on Chapter 12 or 13, I think 13, and I was able to portal back to Gran Pulse for some more leveling up.[/SPOILER]

Right now my current weapons are:

Lighting: Flamberge *
Snow: Battle Standard *
Vanille: Abraxas *
Sazh: Canopus AMPs *
Hope: Skycutter *
Fang: Not Sure what it is, but it is starred at level 2

Need to get the chocobo so I can level up all my characters to be equal across the board.

 

is it worth it to level up my weapons and armor now or wait until i get better ones?

 

Generally speaking, you should wait.

With the weapons in this game, there are pros and cons to each one, so there is no clear "best" or "worst." You could even play through the game without ever upgrading if you really wanted to.

I remember getting Lightning's Axis Blade fairly early in the game. That one is worth upgrading and keeping in my opinion.

 

I upgraded my axis blade pretty early to level 10, but now I upgraded my Gladius to Helter Skelter level 28/9 and oooowee what a difference. Also when I kill an enemy my ATB gauge jumps up anyway, so the axis blade isn't THAT much more of an advantage.

 

The power of Axis Blade is in it's speed and with its Boost synthesized ability. It can get quite ridiculous.

The guide says there are certain enemies to avoid. But me being the way I am, I will certainly try them

 

Just avoid anything that can step on you and you'll be fine. :chuckles:
