Paintball
Anyone here paintball? I am looking to pick up a membership to a local range to go to on the weekends. Includes admission for a year, air, and discounted paint, and will pay for itself on the 4th game. I havent played in years - whats the census on markers anymore? There seem to be a lot of options.
guns are bad ryan mmkay
i have a CO2 reloader for hooking up to the 120 tanks, that's about the extent of my knowledge ... charge the local kids like 10 bucks a pop to fill their canisters or something like that

Used to play competitively before it all went to speedball
We did 24, 36 and 48 hour scenario games, local comps and full survival games. I loved it and the people were great, but then speedball became the game of choice (thanks a lot Xgames) and it was all about spray and pray gaming along with a bunch of assholes coming into it.
If I were to do it again today I would probably pick up an Autococker, they have come a long way from where they started and are much more reliable and less finicky than they used to be. Accurate like woah and aftermarket is balls deep for it. If you are going to be playing a lot then invest in a high pressure system as it retains level shooting speeds a lot better...but it is a bit to get setup.

autococker is a little more than i was planning on spending, but youre right about the quality. i will do some research and post up my potential rig. theyre open year-round but i wont be ready to do it for another month or 2.
I paintballed for the first time last year. It was fun at first but I got sick of it quick. I had huge welts all over my body for the next week. Not to mention my goggles fogged up like crazy which made it incredibly frustrating.

Ive had trouble with goggles too. I assume its because they were crappy.
They do, I was looking at the A5 or the 98 Custom, but Im trying to see what I can do to make Johns suggestion a possibility.
The 98 custom is a sick marker and has been in their lineup for years. I had one before I got my setup from Spyder and even with a new marker in my hands I didn't want to give it up.
When I had it, it was considered an entry level marker but in the time that I played with it the aftermarket went nuts for it with barrels, bolts and seal kits along with seperation systems, handles and all kinds of stuff for them. Definitely a marker worth owning, many games have been won by those for sure.
