"We can do the hub for 100 and rotor and breaks for probably 50. Might not even need a rotor. And all it'll cost u is 50 bucks at a2dafuckenj's garage!"
He mentioned the $50 upfront..... Unless I'm reading it wrong?

yup you probably should've LOL
I'd bring it up with him though... I'd be honest and tell him that at first when he asked you for the 50$ you weren't sure and it kinda pissed you off. But then you saw on FB that he had posted it. Then i'd be kiddingly yet with some truth tell him that he work wasnt worth 50$ and that he at least owes you a dinner and a couple of beer. If this is friend of yours and he had asked you 50$ before hand for helping you out but that because of a misunderstanding you didnt realize it, you should still be friends with him.
Then again my friends wouldn't ask me for cash to help me out.
Then then again if they did ask me for cash i would understand that they are in a tight spot and i'd probably give it and more.
I guess it depends on how good of a friends he is :dunno:
Like I said, things went to hell when I moved in with him, still no idea what happened.. decided to leave it be for the sake of mankind. I'll be more than glad to see if he'll take $25 since I paid for lunch, but after this.. cash is a no go.

it would be somewhat of a douche move on you part to say "ok would you accept $25... after all i did pay for dinner". It was a misunderstanding but it's clear that mentioned the $50. The only way to pay less if if he was a friend to you and he understands your POV.
I know what you saying about roomates and friendship. Happened to me and alot of my friends. its easy to get along with someone when you can just say Fuck it and not see them for a week. it's a little harder when you live with them
