Twas nice. Do you have to go through Border Patrol each and every time? I guess if they get to know you, it should lessen the total time they sit and interrogate you upon re-entry into the states.

Maybe it was just me but they sat and questioned me for like 10 minutes. Then again my birth certificate is in arabic since I was born in Saudi Arabia. h:

yeh i gotta go through it. i mostly walk over though, so there is never any line and they don't bother us as much. especially going into canada.

if i drive through i gotta go through the whole thing, i don't know if it keeps track of how many times i've gone through or not, but i never have any trouble.

tarek was going to get that nexus pass, which is like an ez pass for customs i think.

Yeah i got it... I got it like 2 days after i left for the States. Now going to the US is not bothering me anymore. In the past i would always do everything possible not to go cause it's always a bitch for me. I think it's cause my passport is pretty much full so they always pull me on the side, search my car, check everything, question me for like an hour.

There are historical reasons for pretty much every Imperial measurement.
1 mile = 1000 strides of a Roman soldier (approximately 5,000 feet), modified as the centuries wore on.
0 degrees fahrenheit = the lowest temperature that Daniel Fahrenheit could make a solution in 1724

But I really wish we would stop lollygagging and finally switch to metric. When I see measurements I often try to convert them to metric in my head just so I'll be prepared.

lol - that is how I pronounce both of those things. RIM has one section of their support in Halifax NS, which is pretty close to me. Maritimers have a pretty thick accent. However I pronounce process "Pro-cess" due to the vowel consonant rule. For it to be pronounced pra-cess it'd have to be spelt prawcess.

But tell me this - how do you pronounce roof, and does it differ by location? Cus I hate when people say "Ruff."

I get pissed... specially whne i come back to Canada. One time the officer kept asking me all these questions and i was like:

"This is my country, i'm a canadian citizen and have always been a Canadian citizen. I'm returning into my own country and you do not have the power to refuse me. So if you want to search for drugs or undeclared merchandise go ahead but stop asking me stupid questions about where and why i travel so much. There are other people waiting behind me and all you do is keep asking me questions that are irevelant about me coming back home."

He didn't really like that so he got pissy and i asked to talk to his supervisor. I just told him that i did not appreciate being questionned as if i'm a criminal when retuning in my own home country. That i expect that when i try to visite another country. But not my own.
