i would look for 95% indoor stuff with minimal outdoor stuff this time of the year.

i was talking about alcatraz specifically. it's colder on the rock with all the winds out there.

SF weather is moderate most of the year. i just walked outside and it was 60 degrees. SOMA/embarcadero/north beach are usually sunny. the sunset, golden gate park, and anywhere else on the pacific/GG bridge side are almost always foggy. doesn't matter what time of the year.

Trust me, after working by the SF coast all summer, it was foggy almost every day...all day.

so, our trip is finally here, well next weekend. it's been pretty hard planning everything and keeping it a secret, but so far so good i think. i didn't realize it was the weekend of the chinese new year parade though, and i planned to go to the wicked show on sat night, so we're gonna miss it.

The view from the top of twin peaks is pretty stellar if it is clear. Scoma's is pretty good, I always liked Pacific Cafe out around 30th and Geary, good food and reasonable. They give you a glass of wine while you wait for your table, so maybe not for you. Ghirardelli Square and the Wharf for the touristy thing. Lot of stuff to see in GG Park, you could spend all day checking that out if the weather is nice on Sunday, they close down a lot of the roads. If weather is bad, Exploratorium is indoors. If you do the tour of the Anchor Steam brewery, they used to give you free samples. If driving, remember that sometimes 3 right turns is what you need to do to make a left

The zoo is pretty good, don't get drunk, smoke dope and tease the tigers
