I get a new helmet every other season or so. They say once it takes a good beating you should replace it because it might have structural damage. Mine takes a pretty good beating every season, so I just get cheap ones and replace as needed. Current one is a giro something-or-other with a flame job h: I need a new one asap

:edit: I got a concussion right through my old helmet and it was also a good name brand. Now I don't worry too much about the brand.

So is getting an aftermarket set of speakers for a helmet better than getting ones already in? Or just use regular ole earbuds?

This one looks like the leader in the clubhouse, provided it fits:

I know Giro makes good helmets.

Well the problem I heard w/ pre-installed is the wire connections fail after a few runs. I only started wearing a helmet this year and I gotta say I really cant tell any difference. The other thing is depending on where you are going to ride they get pretty warm. Luckily it's freezing here so it's nice I'm concerned about spring riding might have to get one w/ more vents. Hit me up on FB or AIM if you have any more questions.

After trying helmets on, I ended up spending the extra $ and getting the Giro G10. It was super comfortable compared to the rest, fit better, and has vents that I can open/close with a switch. The 20% coupon to Any Mountain made it worth while. h:
