Just rented the game to give it a shot.
Not bad and the Favela took a minute, had to slow down my moves a bit. Rushing into shit on that level is not the way to play it at all.
My neighbor and I have been doing the campaigns as a team and they are pretty fun. We started doing the Charlie set last night and got as far as the level with the Juggernauts...got right to the end and got stomped by one
h: Seems the better you do on that level the more of those things they throw at you, we had 5 total one time playing and another they only threw 2 at us but the regular bad guys got us 
Haven't tried the online play yet as I need to re-up my XBXLive but our conclusion has been that it is a fun game, the drawback is that it is basically Halo3 reskinned so not sure if I am going to be picking it up or not.

only thing in common I can see is the melee attack, stickies. But the tacticks of the games are totally different in my opinion. Just the kill streak and perks Make them very different imo.

ok so i traded in 5 games today and picked this up with change. h: maybe i will see some of you on tonight. only level 5 in multiplayer. i went like 9-12, 10-12 the first two maps i played. 3rd map i went 6-15, the snowy level.

this. Halo sucks. Getting chased around by little cheesedick mushroom men with bubbleguns constantly is so lame. Once I realized i could run so much faster than them, and just run through the levels, I really regretted my purchase.

There's hardly anything in common between Halo and this. You don't have regenerating shields nor the graphics look like a Saturday morning cartoon
