When we lived in our old house, Andy payed extra for the larger bedroom and the garage (with the understanding that I could "borrow" the garage for motor swaps and projects). But then, we were both good friends and responsible people to begin with.
Rather than doing the passive-agressive text back and forth thing, I'd just wait until you actually see him and talk it out. It may be worth sharing the garage just to get along with the guy.

You could live in the dorms. The land of underage drinking and the one's that are legal apparently don't know their limit yet. "Couples" fighting outside in the common areas at 3 A.M. Morons setting off fire alarms thinking they can smoke in their rooms. Lazy fucks stashing garbage everywhere. Asshats pulling your clothes out of the dryer still obviously damp. Cable CO yanking the whole floor's cable "privileges" because people break into the closet and illegally hook up their own cable.
