6 year old suspended for bring utensils to school
ya...i don't think zero tol. policies are good for a few reasons. but it doesn't matter if it was silverware or not...knife is knife
steak knive is a silverware...but it'll stab a biatch. with that said...as a kid my friend got in big trouble for bringing an veggie peeler to school for his apple.

update:
school board overturned the suspension and the 45 days in the alternate program ... with a member of the board saying that the administration lacked 'common sense' good for that guy
although i like this ladies opinion:
If we can't punish him, then what about kids that did bring (a weapon) for bad things?
i say to that, stfu woman...punish the kids who brought a weapon with intention to harm, just because you dont punish a six year old for a utensil at lunch doesnt mean you cant punish the kid who came and threatened a classmate.
turns out this school district is notorious for these stupid adherances. last year they suspended a girl and put her in alternate because she brought a knife to school ... to cut the birthday cake she brought in for her birthday

Yes, but by "birthday cake" everyone knows she meant "black people".
Also, on a side note.. I've cut myself with a plastic spoon once.

I also seem to remember stabbing a kid in the eye with a pencil when I was in pre-school :hsugh:
